The policy, in one paragraph
Cancel any time you like, and keep using Pro until the period you have paid for runs out. A period that has already begun is not refunded. Before any of that matters: Orbshot is free to use for as long as you want, with no time limit and no card, so you can find out whether it earns its price before paying it.
Why it is written that way
Because the alternative is worse for both of us. A subscription that can be refunded mid-period has to be priced for the people who do that; this one is priced for the people who use it. The free version is deliberately generous so that nobody has to buy in order to find out.
Cancelling
From your account page, at any time. Nothing stops working when you cancel — the licence simply is not renewed, and Pro carries on until the date already paid for. After that Orbshot returns to the free version and every file you have made still opens and still exports.
Renewal reminders
A yearly licence is not allowed to renew quietly. We email before it does, in enough time to cancel if you have stopped using it. If a renewal ever surprises you, tell us — a surprise means the reminder failed, and that is our problem to fix.
If something went wrong on our side
Charged twice, charged after cancelling, or the app does not run on a version of macOS this site says it supports: reply to your receipt. Those are not refund requests, they are mistakes, and they get put right.
Buying from inside the EU or the UK
Digital goods there carry a fourteen-day right to withdraw, which you give up when you ask for immediate access to something you have bought. Checkout asks you to agree to exactly that before it will take a payment. Until it does, the right stands.
