Terms of use

What you are buying
A licence to use Orbshot, not the software itself. It is yours for as long as the licence is paid for — or permanently, if you bought a lifetime licence. You may use it for personal work and for work you are paid for; there is no separate commercial licence.
Seats
A Pro licence activates on two Macs at once unless it says otherwise. Both may be yours; a licence is for one person, not for a team taking turns. You can move a seat to a different Mac at any time from your account page, as often as you like — a Mac that has been repaired or replaced is exactly the case that page exists for.
The free version
Orbshot without a licence is not a trial. It has no time limit, captures and edits without restriction, and records video of any length. What it will not do is export above 720p or 30fps, and a handful of features listed on the pricing page are reserved for Pro. Nothing you make with it is watermarked.
A licence that lapses takes away the ceiling, never the work. Every project file you have made still opens, still edits and still exports at the free limits. Orbshot does not hold your files to ransom.
What you may not do
- Share, resell or publish a licence key. A key that turns up in public is cancelled.
- Work around the licence check, or distribute something that does.
- Redistribute Orbshot, in whole or modified, as your own product.
Reverse engineering is permitted to the extent Thai law permits it regardless of what this page says, and this clause does not try to take that away.
Cancellation from our side
A licence can be cancelled if a payment is reversed by the card issuer, or if the key has been published. In either case Orbshot returns to the free version on the Macs that were using it, and, again, your files still open.
No warranty
Orbshot is provided as it is. It is a screenshot and recording tool, and it is built carefully, but it is not sold as fit for any particular purpose and it is not guaranteed to be free of faults. Do not use it as the only copy of anything you cannot lose.
Liability
Where the law allows a limit, ours is what you paid for the licence in the twelve months before the problem. Where the law does not allow a limit — death, personal injury, fraud — none is claimed.
Which law
Thai law, and the courts of Thailand. If you bought as a consumer somewhere with rights that cannot be signed away, you keep them.
Changes
These terms can change for future purchases. The ones you agreed to when you bought keep applying until your licence renews.
